Bass is often one of the most over-looked instruments in a band. Many spectators did not know what it is and even bass. However, bass may be the most important instruments in the group. It is rare to find a show band with no bass player. As a beginner bassist, you should be glad to know there is always a high demand-especially good bassists.
Responsibility of the Bass Player
Traditionally, the bass do two basic and vital functions in a band or group:
1. Rhythmic bass provides the foundation.
2. Bass provides the harmonic foundation.
Rhythmic Foundation
Consistent rhythmic foundation refers to the pulse of music. A skilled bassist support groups by providing good-feeling, stable pulse. Most of the music that has been well received has a stable rhythm, or beat, for it. This is the responsibility and priority bassist. Listen to the following recordings. Notice how you can press your feet with the rhythm of bass. That created the bass pulse.
Drummer, if any, are also helpful in providing credit. However, make no mistake that it is the task of creating a drummer for the pulse and you're only along for the trip. Sense of rhythm must be very dense and free from other people in the group. Each member of the group must have a good rhythm independently while playing together as a whole.
Your rhythmic skills are most important for you to master as a bassist. No matter how perfect record of your choices are. If your records are in the wrong place rhythmically, it will not feel or sound right.
The Harmonic Foundation
Most people recognize the bass player to help by providing the rhythm. Many people are not aware of other important functions in the bass player - supports harmony.
Harmony means together. In music, harmony is to play some different notes at the same time. Sometimes just one person, like a guitarist or pianist, to create this harmony. Next time some people, like an orchestra, rock band or a barber quartet, creating harmony together.
Bass plays a strong role in how we hear the harmony. When we hear a few notes played at the same time, we hear them all sound field relative to the lowest - bass notes.

Pressure on the ideal bass strings to produce a good sound but the finger is still controlled with the start of the slow tempo until you find the ideal pressure.

Then give your time to train at this pace for about 3 minutes to 5 minutes, "Remember do not spoil our fingers, cape fair bit". And the most important thing is not to much to stop, try within the 3 minutes you do not halting train one fingering pattern.
4. Gradually raise the tempo with a metronome and do a pattern like the steps above. Find out your speed limit, ie with the highest speed but still under control and the sound tone remains unclear. speed will be obtained after the power of our fingers well established.
